Attorney General Janet Reno has never owned a firearm, but she learned how to use one at her mother's knee.
"My mother taught me how to use a .22 when I was little," Reno told reporters Thursday at her weekly news briefing. "She would set out cans and show us how to use it."Reno recently fired weapons at a police firing range.
"The police wanted to show me just how formidable some of these weapons were that were on the street," she said.
How good a shot was she?

"The only thing I remember about it is that the officers were impressed that I could do as well as I did," she said.
