The Steinway piano upon which Vladimir Horowitz performed will be at Dayne's Music for display, and the public is invited to play the famed instrument.
The Steinway Model D, a 9-foot ebony concert grand piano, was Horowitz's touring instrument until the time of his death in 1989.The display will be at Dayne's Music Co., 156 S. Main St. in Salt Lake City, Feb. 15-19, and Feb. 22-23. A 10-minute playing session can be scheduled for a $10 contribution. Call Daynes at 359-7633.
At 7 p.m. Feb. 19 the Steinway will be at Weber State University for a concert by Oleg Volkov. On Sunday, Feb. 21, a concert and reception will feature Douglas Humphreys.
