Butterflies are becoming an endangered species in Denmark. Thus a new set of four stamps has been issued by that country to help publicize the need for protection.

The small tortoiseshell butterfly, Denmark's national butterfly, appears on one stamp. The large blue butterfly is seen on a second stamp. The red admiral is depicted on the third and marsh fritillary is on the fourth.
