Unconscious from wounds she suffered at the hands of a would-be carjacker in the parking lot of a suburban Sherman Oaks bank, aspiring rock musician Sherri Foreman held on for more than 24 hours before she died in surgery.

Foreman's fiance - Bobby Rock, a drummer for the band Nelson - her family from Orange County, Calif., and her music industry friends struggled Thursday to make sense of her death. A reward was offered Thursday night for information leading to the arrest of the killer of the 29-year-old suburban Toluca Lake woman.Foreman, who was 12 weeks pregnant, collapsed on the sidewalk following the attack at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

She had just taken money from an automated teller when she was approached by a man who tried to take her car, police said. The robber stabbed her during the confrontation, stole her purse and fled on foot, without taking her white 1984 BMW 318i parked in the Great Western Bank lot at Riverside Drive and Woodman Avenue, police said.
