Ace Ambulance has sued Washington Terrace Fire Chief David S. Allen, alleging he slandered the company and hurt its business.

The suit, filed Tuesday in Ogden's 2nd District Court, is the latest move in a long-running feud over who should provide ambulance service in Washington Terrace.Ace seeks thousands of dollars in damages from Allen and 10 unidentified defendants, saying it lost revenue when the city switched ambulance services.

The suit contends Allen slandered the company when he alleged negligence on an emergency call brought an elderly patient's death.

The suit says Allen led an effort to replace Ace Ambulance in Washington Terrace.
