William Hugh Grant, age 72, died May 11, 1993.

Born November 10, 1920 in Bingham Canyon, Utah, to Hugh James and Clara Burkman Grant. Married Irene Told in Farmington, Utah, October 15, 1938. Bill was a lifetime resident of Midvale and served as Midvale City Chief of Police and was a fireman. He worked at the Midvale Packing Plant and later retired from Kennecott Copper. He was Commander of the Jordan Post of the American Legion and a member of the Elk's Club. Bill was Past Master of Canyon Lodge #13 F. & A.M.; Worthy Patron of Martha Chapter #7 O. E. S.; Wrecker in the Shriners, El Kalah Temple; member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry S.J. U.S.A. 32Degree; and a veteran of World War II.Survivors: wife, Irene, Midvale; daughter, Joan G. Swain, Murray; grandchildren, Douglas William Swain and wife, Joan; Lori Swain Littlefield, both Murray; Mrs. Michael G. Davis (Shauna), Sandy; five great grandchildren, Amy Davis, Madison Swain, Jonathan Littlefield, Stephanie Davis and Ashton Swain. Preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Grant.

Public Masonic Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 14, 1993 at 1 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State where friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
