Names are being added to the Utah Vietnam Veterans Memorial at the state Capitol.

Because many veterans died from war wounds after returning home and many Utahns moved out of state before they died, their names did not appear on traceable documents. One of the following criteria is necessary for a name to be placed on the memorial.- Must have been born in Utah.

- Must have been buried in Utah.

- Must have attended school in Utah.

- Must have owned real estate and paid Utah taxes.

The late soldier must have died from wounds received in Southeast Asia.

To qualify, all deaths must be verified by a licensed medical authority as having been caused by combat experience.

All documents supporting the above will be sent to a review board. Those who feel they may know of a missing name can contact Lew Ross, 3098 S. Highland Drive, Suite 440G, Salt Lake City, UT 84106, 466-6495 or fax 466-6498.
