She's been on the soap opera "One Life to Live" and was a regular in the series "Backstairs at the White House" as Eleanor Roosevelt, a role she also performs in a one-woman stage show. Other TV appearances include "Out of the Blue," "Trauma Center," "Partners in Crime" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show."

A. It is Turner's "Exposure" character Maggie O'Connell who's from Grosse Pointe, a posh Detroit suburb. Maggie and Joel Fleischman spent one episode with her folks there, but it was strictly a fictional trip. Turner, 30, is from Lincoln, Neb., and grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. She started modeling at 3, moved to New York at 15 and got her acting break in "General Hospital." Right now, she can be found in "Cliffhanger" with Sly Stallone.

A. He must have seen the set for some other movie. "M.A.S.H." was a 20th Century Fox production, both the 1970 motion picture and the TV series. Some scenes were done on the Fox Beverly Hills lot, some on location in Simi Valley.

A. Ray Dotrice was Dr. Croft, of Croft University. A much-honored stage and screen actor in the U.S. and his native Britain, he's probably best known to U.S. audiences for "Beauty and the Beast." Daniel Stern, the other hapless crook in "Home Alone," wasn't in "Extremes." Currently, he's to be seen in the feature "Rookie of the Year," which he also directed.
Q. There's a pizza riding on this. I say Deborah Adair, of "Days of Our Lives," is married to Josh Brolin. My nephew says she is not. -L.W., Westland, Mich.
A. Adair's been married for six years to TV producer Chip Hayes, who produces Fox's "Melrose Place." Brolin's wife acted under the name Alice Adair, but she's also Deborah Adair. She can't use the name professionally because "Days"' Adair was there first. Under Screen Actors Guild rules, there can't be two actresses with the same name. Brolin and his Deborah met when working on the 1987 series "Private Eye." They have a son, 3.
Q. I watch "The Bold and the Beautiful," and I'd like to know if Hunter Tylo, who plays Dr. Taylor Hayes, is married to Blade on "The Young and the Restless." - Beth C., Weleetka, Okla.
A. Hunter and Michael Tylo, Blade of "Y and R," have been married since 1987, a second marriage for each. They have a son, Mickey, 5. The pair met when they were working on "All My Children."
Q. The Little Richard of today can't be the Little Richard of rock 'n' roll fame of the '60s. He'd be in his 60s, and the present one is much younger. - D.F., Buffalo, N.Y.
A. It's the same Little Richard. At 58, he's worn well in spite of an up and down life. After a few years of eclipse, he's been back in the limelight, revving up his rock again in TV dates and concerts and looking for a record deal. Richard Penniman was 22 when he came shouting out of Macon, Ga., in 1955. He had a string of hits then decided to change his lifestyle. From 1957 to 1963, he went to a religious school and became a preacher. His return to show business ended in 1975 after the death of a brother and his own near-death in a car accident. He returned in the 1980s with commercials and a movie, "Down and Out in Beverly Hills." Now, he's also targeting the children's market with records for young people.
Q. I once saw a movie with Mickey Rooney called "Once Upon a Midsummer's Dream." Mickey was about 12 years old. Is it on video? - H.B., Casseta, Ga.
A. The 1935 film "A Midsummer Night's Dream" was directed by famed European director Max Reinhardt with a huge cast - most of whom, like Rooney, were lost in "the wood near Athens." Other cast members included Hugh Herbert, Dick Powell, Joe E. Brown, Frank McHugh and Arthur Treacher. Olivia de Havilland, in her movie debut, and James Cagney were among the few praised by critics. The film did win a cinematography award. It's on both tape and laser disc.
Q. Can you tell me about Alexander Scourby, the wonderful narrator on the "National Geographic" shows? - M.B., Ridley Park, Pa.
A. Scourby was a major theatrical actor, largely in Shakespearean roles. He did a few movies and soap operas. He narrated stage plays and radio programs in addition to TV. After his death in 1985, his distinctive sonorous voice was widely imitated by other narrators. He was 72.
