Actor John Malkovich, who plays the psychopathic assassin in the Clint Eastwood thriller "In the Line of Fire," says he believes most people would commit murder if they knew they wouldn't get in trouble for it. In a "Primetime Live" interview, Malkovich said he believes he would be able to take a life under certain circumstances. "Could I kill someone? Sure, I mean, why not? If someone harmed my children, it's not an issue, could I. You know, the issue would be how soon could I?" Malkovich said Eastwood in some ways reminds him of his own father. "He's very silent, self-contained. He sort of appreciates a good joke, and he's very straightforward. And you sort of get the feeling as one might have from my father that he actually may shoot you if something doesn't go particularly well."
