Ralph Owen Nelson, 91, died Monday, January 10, 1994 at his home.
He was born January 26, 1902 in Fish Haven, Idaho, the son of David Frederick and Ellen Findlay Nelson. He married Nora Adela Buck August 7, 1922 in Randolph, Utah. The marrige was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.He ranched northwest of Kemmerer, Wyoming for 45 years. Lived in Powell Butte, Oregon and in 1960 moved to Hyrum. Served two missions, with his wife, in Illinois and Missouri. He was a temple officiator for 10 years.
He is survived by his wfe, Hyrum and six children and spouses: Catherine (deceased) and Arnold Larson, Opal, Wyoming; Leah and Carl Kulinsky, Kemmerer, Wyoming; Donald and Ann Nelson, Union Gap, Washington; Charles and Jean Nelson, Corvallis, Oregon; Doyle and Charlene Nelson, South Jordan; and Keith and Kathy Nelson, Hyrum. He had 36 grandchildren and 83 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 15, 1994 at 1 p.m. at the Hyrum Second Ward Chapel, 450 East 1st South, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Hyrum Cemetery. Service under the direction of Cranney Mortuary.
