The general president of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Mrs. Donald Shattuck Blair, visited Salt Lake City last week.
The Utah State Officers Club hosted Mrs. Blair at a banquet held Friday at the Lion House where Joan Healey, researcher at the Family History Library, spoke. At a luncheon on Saturday, George Poulson received the Utah Outstanding Veteran Patient Award. Poulson is a native Utahn and World War II veteran who participated in the invasion at Normandy.During a Saturday banquet the NSDAR Conservation Medal for outstanding educational and media work in conservation was awarded to Kim Morris, former director of community relations, Utah Department of Transportation and to James Andrews Jr., part-time model and actor and full-time recruiting officer for the Utah Air National Guard. Both men were involved in the "Don't Waste Utah" campaign.
