Lewis Cowan (Dick) Beagley, 87, died November 10, 1994.

He was born January 27, 1907 in Nephi, Utah to Harry and Rhea Cowan Beagley. He married Aiden Lunt August 29, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lewis graduated from Nephi High School and Utah State University with a degree in Chemistry and completed a year of graduate work at Iowa State in Poultry Husbandry. He spent most of his early career in business and finished his career at Geneva Steel as a Chemist. He and his wife of 65 years completed an LDS mission in the Western Pennsylvania Pittsburgh area, and he spent several years after retirement from Geneva as a Foster Grandparent at the Utah State Training School. He was a High Priest and Temple Ordinance Worker in the Provo Temple before and after his mission.He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and three sons: Joan Bean and Beverly (John) Mattson, of American Fork; Bob Beagley, Shreveport, Louisiana; Stephen (Mary) Beagley, Bakersfield, Calif; and Dennis (Julie) Beagley, Tehachapi, Calif. Also 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, a son, and a grandson.

Funeral services Monday, 11 a.m., American Fork 9th Ward, 673 East 300 No. Friends may call at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 No, American Fork, Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery.
