Clarence Zach Richardson, age 71, died December 16, 1994 due to heart failure.
He was born April 14, 1994 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Steve O. Richardson, Sr. and Bessie Stringer Richardson. Married his wife, Florence Walter. They had one son, Kevin Zach Richardson. He served in the Navy from July 1941 until his honorable discharge in April 1947. He served world-wide as a ship's cook and received many stars and medals including the Purple Heart. Hank was a professor at Utah State University. Master meat cutter, teaching many of the butchers for Reams grocery stores. He has spent his last 18 years in Sandy as a master gem cutter and lapidarist.He is survived by sisters, Mrs. Jean Waits, Port Allen, La.; Bessie Gardner, Baton Rouge, La.; brother, William I. Cooper, Walter, La.; 18 neices and nephews and many close friends. Preceded in death by both parents, wife, son, brother, Steve O. Richardson, Jr. and sister, Shirley Johnson.
At his request, his body will be donated to science.
A small gathering of his close friends will occur at his residence on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Military memorial will be held at a later date by a special friend, Elmer Talbot.
