Workers stand beneath "Fridgehenge," a creation formed of 41 refrigerators retrieved from a local trash dump in Hamilton, New Zealand. Put together just in time for the Southern Hemisphere's summer solstice celebrations, Fridgehenge will be site of a party as the sun rises Thursday over an altar stone constructed of two box refrigerators beside a twin-unit refrigerator. Graeme Cairns, one of the replica's builders, is a clan chief of the McGillicuddy Serious Party, which parodies New Zealand politics and society. The other builders, Sean Burke and Andrew McGovern, are an ecosystems designer and an engineer, respectively.
