Red Butte Garden and Arboretum is looking for education docents, horticulture aides and visitors center assistants.
Education docents are the backbone of field classes and the garden information desk at Red Butte Garden. An intensive, four-month class begins in January that prepares volunteers to teach adults and children about horticulture and environmental sciences.Topics offered by the program include botany, ecology, orchestrating field classes and geology of the canyons. Docents are then asked to volunteer a minimum of three hours every two weeks, mostly during mornings and early afternoons.
