James Irvin Dixon, beloved son of Rolf David and Jean Larie Christensen Dixon, returned to his Heavenly Father after a one day illness.
He came to us June 9, 1993 in Amarillo, Texas and left us quietly December 15, 1994, in Canyon, Texas. This precious baby was adored by his sister, Angie and his four brothers; David, Don, Peter and Robert. They loved to call him "Bear" and watch him wiggle, gallop, dance and get all shy when he saw anyone watching him. He didn't want any of them to sit between him and his Mom. He especially loved the Christmas lights. Jimmy's gentle spirit and happy ways endeared him to his many cousins and aunts and uncles, as well as his loving grandparents. He was his Dad's special friend.
We are grateful to Heavenly Father for the gift of eighteen months with James. Our hearts have uncompleted feelings because we couldn't keep him, but we are sealed for eternity, and we will be with him again.
He is survived by his parents, brothers and sister of Canyon, Texas, and his grandparents, Eva Dixon of Sandy, Walter Dixon, Dom M. and Arda Jean Christensen of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 21, 1994, 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, where friends may call Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
