There are lots and lots of Christmas specials on TV at this time of year, so maybe it makes sense to have a Christmas special about Christmas specials.
Marie Osmond hosts "Television's Christmas Classics" (Friday, 9 p.m., Ch. 5), an hour full of clips - some of which really are classics. How about duets featuring Mel Torme and Judy Garland, Nat King Cole and Danny Kaye, and Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy? How about Bing Crosby singing "Whitee Christmas," then joining David Bowie for yet another duet?
How about Christmas moments with the casts of "I Love Lucy," "The Honeymooners" and "Roseanne?"
This is a nicely produced hour full of moments that are sure to bring back fond memories of Christmases past.
