MITCH MONTGOMERY, Weber: Led the Warriors with 19 points in a 68-59 win over city rival Ogden.

LANCE BARNES, Bingham: Led the Miners with a game-high 17 points as Bingham avenged last year's 5A title game loss with a win at Highland.

LANE EARL, Union: Scored 26 points in the Cougars' full-team assault against North Summit.

MAURICE HAMILTON, Granite: Tallied 33 of the Farmers' 61 points in a loss to Granger.

JED KELLY, Dugway: Paced the Mustangs to a win over East Carbon by scoring a game-high 20 points.

RYAN STEWART, Jordan: Led the Beetdiggers with 17 points, including two three-point field goals for a 67-63 win over Lehi.

ERIC WINN, Sky View: Poured in 24 points for the Bobcats in a 58-47 win over the Roy Royals.

CURTIS JACOBSEN, Lehi: Hit 24 points, including five three-point shots, as the Pioneers fell to Jordan 67-63.

KRIS JEX, Spanish Fork: Used a 27-point effort to help the Dons beat up West, 79-63.

JASON BORUP, Millard: Scored 21 of the Eagles' 44 points as they lost to Manti, 51-44.

ALAN COX, Manti: Helped the third-ranked Templars put away Millard with a team-high 21 points.

LAURIE PUGMIRE, Taylorsville: Scored 22 points, including three three-point field goals, in the Warriors' six-point victory over East.

HEATHER HOFMANN, Hillcrest: Hit four three-point shots with a 21-point finish, including two free throws with 20 seconds left, to ice an overtime win over West Jordan. Teammate Amber Pehrson added 19 more points for the Huskies.

JILL ADAMS, Clearfield: Led the Falcons with 21 points in a region opener win over Layton.

MELISSA TREVORT, Payson: Scored 21 points for the third-ranked Lions of 4A, who handed North Sanpete its fourth loss.

TIFFANY BRITTON, Woods Cross: Finished with a game-high 16 points to lead the Wildcats past Viewmont.

TAWNYA CRUMB, North Sanpete: Led all scorers with 25 points as the second-ranked Hawks lost 69-51 to Payson.
