In non-league wins over Davis County rivals Bountiful (ranked fifth at the time) and Viewmont last week, Noel exploded for 61 points to help Layton even its record at 3-3. She averaged 9 points per game as a junior for the Region 1 school.

JEREMY JEPPESEN, Viewmont: Senior sharpshooter paced the Vikings to wins over American Fork and Sky View last week by scoring 36 points. The second-leading scorer in the 5A ranks hit three treys in the triumph over the Cavemen. His efforts have helped fifth-ranked Viewmont to a 6-0 mark.
