Police were searching for a man who may have gotten away with as much as $30,000 early Wednesday after he robbed a person trying to make a deposit at a First Security Bank branch.

The man walked into the branch at 1710 S. Redwood Road about 10:25 a.m., told people inside that he had a gun and grabbed a deposit bag from a credit union employee. He fled west on 1700 South while police closed in.At press time, officers had not found the man, who was wearing faded jeans and a gray sweatshirt, according to dispatchers.
