Rose Black Olsen, 76, died December 20, 1994 in Price.
She was born May 30, 1918 in Blanding, to James Acel and Susan Catherine Davidsen Black. She married Leland Albert Olsen, in Castle Gate, Sept. 25, 1936; later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple.She will be remembered for being a fabulous cook and was very proud that she was able to receive her high school diploma in 1993. She was loved and will be deeply missed by her family, especially by her granddaughter, Krista.
Rose is survived by her children and their spouses, Merle and Dale Swanson, of Price; Lorraine Olsen, of Cedar City; Laura and Jeff Swan, of Colorado; Kenneth Olsen, of Price. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Ben, Verdell and Fonzo; sisters, Kaye, LaDean and Roxy. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Chuck and special daughter-in-law, Karen.
Funeral services Friday, December 23, 1994, 11 a.m. in the Price 8th Ward Chapel. Friends may call Thursday, 7-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Price City Cemetery.
