Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend was received into heaven on December 20, 1994.

She was born September 5, 1906, in Columbus, Georgia, to Rufus Billington Kilgore and Elizabeth Rodgers. She married Miller Strange Burgin on June 12, 1941 in Portland, Maine. He preceded her in death in 1981. Lois was a true Southern lady whose greatest joys were her family and friends. She made friends everywhere she lived with her Southern charm and accent. Her memberships included the Ogelthorpe Chapter DAR in Columbus, DAC (Daughters of the American Confederacy), and was a founder of the Leawood Ladies Club in Leawood, Kansas.She moved to Salt Lake City in 1983 and lived at the Cottonwood Inn and Highland Cove. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia.

Survived by her only child, Jayne Kilgore Burgin; three grandchildren, Gregory Miller, Douglas Andrew and Melissa Lois Scavezze; sister, Dorothy Fox; brother, Virgil Kilgore.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Crossland Care Center for the love and care she received.....she loved you, too.

There will be a memorial service at the Crossland Care Center on December 30, 1994 at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be December 28, 1994 in the Riverdale Cemetery, in the Kilgore plot, in Columbus, Georgia.

God has a new angel in heaven..we love you.
