Ragnhild Laura Wedding Jensen, 88, passed away December 19, 1994 of natural causes in a Salt Lake hospital.
Born October 11, 1906 in Vardo, Finnmark, Norway to Radman Heiberg Johansen Wedding and Synnove Aasheim Wedding. Married Harold Arthur Jensen on August 29, 1923 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death May 10, 1951. Ragnhild was an active member of the LDS Church and a member of a Norwegian Ladies Association, Blaveis. She enjoyed quilting, needlepoint and hand work. Ragnhild successfully raised 11 children to adulthood, including two sets of twins. Seven children were still in school when her husband passed away.Survivors: children, Harold Arthur Jensen, Jr. and wife, Helen, Salem, Oregon; Lt. Col. Retired, Hyrum Conrad Jensen and wife, Joan, Ocala, Florida; Reginald Laurence Jensen and wife, Dorothy, San Jose, California; Leo Walter Jensen, Salt Lake City; Bertha Rose Tapp, Sandy; Synnove Jewel Berg and husband, Bill, Salt Lake City; Constance Walser and husband, Ronald, Colonia Juarez, Mexico; Junius Jensen and wife, Dale, San Jose, California; 46 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Ingrid Olsen, Salt Lake City; brother, Erling S. Wedding, M.D., Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Preceded in death by daughter, Thelma Ruth Collier; sons, Louis Vern Jensen and David Jensen; also seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 22, 1994 at 11 a.m. in the Crescent 14th LDS Ward Chapel, 251 East 10600 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the church one hour prior to services.
Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
