Our loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and great-grandmother, passed away through the veil into the arms of her family, December 19, 1994 in Murray, Utah.

Born August 29, 1921 in Salt Lake City, the fifth child of Thomas Gould Higham and Leona Bess Miller Higham. Married James Patrick O'Bryan; later divorced. Married Kenneth Joseph Erickson, May 31, 1956 in Ely, Nevada. Solemnized December 9, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple. Lee will be remembered as a devoted wife, wonderful, caring mother, a witty and reliable friend, and a tower of spiritual, emotional and physical strength which was leaned upon by all she touched. She was always there for everyone, asking nothing in return. We rejoice in her reunion with her loved ones in heaven.Lee's love of truth, fairness and justice gave her great strength in her passion of politics. She worked countless hours on campaigns and at the Utah State Legislature. She brought her dignity and honesty to the Senate and House floors. She will be missed by her political friends and foes alike. Lee made you think and ponder the "right way".

She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Kathryn; her sons, Kenneth Joseph (Bobbi Jo), and Kevin Thomas (Roberta); and her grandchildren, Keith, Tina, Chris, Amanda, Jeffrey; and great-grandchild, Tyler Erickson; four brothers and three sisters. Preceded in death by her eternal husband, Ken, her mother and father and three brothers.

The family would like to thank all who gave of their time and energy and love to care for her in this last year. For her physicians, Dr. David McKenzie and Dr. Janet Balbierz. For the loving people of the Murray 22nd Ward. Special thanks to Select Home Care and Community Service Nursing Hospice Program.
