Colorado officials say they will give serious consideration to an offer to leave the Big Eight and join the Pacific-10.
Colorado president Judith Albino said Tuesday the school "did not seek this invitation, either directly or indirectly, but we certainly owe our colleagues a seriously-considered reply, and over the coming weeks our athletic department will be analyzing the offer."Colorado, which is scheduled to start play in an expanded Big 12 in 1996, has not been given a deadline for replying to the Pac-10 invitation.
Texas also is reportedly a target for Pac-10 expansion, but officials said a formal invitation has not been extended to the Longhorns because a previous offer has been on the table.
