Anita Hyke, 78, passed away at her home in Midvale, Utah on December 21, 1994.

Born November 17, 1916 in Midvale, Utah to Frederick William and Rose Anderson Hyke. Anita was an active member of the LDS Church. She graduated from Jordan High School and attended Henager's Business College. Her many civic activities included member of the Midvale Arts Council, Midvale Ladies Community Club, Midvale Historical Society and served as a volunteer at the Midvale Museum. She was a charter member of the Junior Community Club, charter member, organizer and past president of Midvale Business and Professional Women's Club. A former employee of International Harvester Co., Utah Marketing Services, she also worked for Utah Power & Light, retiring in 1986. Her goal each day was, "Have I Done Any Good in This World Today?" Anita maintained that, "All you give unto the lives of others, comes back into your own."Survivors: sister-in-law, Vernice V. Hyke; life long friend, Laura Samuels Cerrone; also a number of cousins and "adopted" families. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul F. Hyke; sisters, Betty and Mary Hyke.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 24, 1994, at 11 a.m. in the Midvale 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 97 West 7500 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
