Veda Jean Tanner Simonich, age 65, returned to Heavenly Father, December 21, 1994, after a long bout with cancer.
Born March 3, 1929 in Joseph, Utah, daughter of Clarence and Grace Spencer Tanner. Married John E. Simonich, August 25, 1962 in Elko, Nevada. Veda was the best mother any family could have asked for, going the extra mile and asking for nothing in return. She enjoyed an active life and loved many things-being outdoors, her patio, her dogs and most of all, her kids. She will be missed very much.Survived by husband, John, Kearns; six sons and four daughters, Brenda Coker, Killien, Texas; John Simonich, Jr., Tooele; Mike Van, Draper; Bob Van, Taylorsville; Joey Simonich, San Diego, Calif.; Bonnie Unthank, Bennion; Kathie Johnson, Portland, Oregon; Tony DeSimone, Scott Simonich and Connie Jorgensen, all of Salt Lake City; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Clyde Tanner, Kearns; three sisters, Kitty Bridges, Tooele; Pat Zorok, West Valley City; Jean Hayworth, Parumph, Nevada; numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services Friday, 2 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road, where friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 1-2 p.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
