Vernon Stephen Davies, 52, died December 21, 1994.
He was born September 26, 1942 in Pensacola, Florida, to Vernon Fredrick and Velma Rose Valley Davies. He married Beth Westwood June 4, 1965 in Laie, Hawaii. He graduated from BYU Hawaii in 1965 and attended graduate school at BYU for two years. He was a veteran of VietNam, serving five years in the U.S. Army until his medical retirement. He worked as an accountant in Hawaii and Utah. An active member of the LDS Church, he had served as Bishop, Scoutmaster, and currently as High Priest group assistant.He is survived by his wife; five sons, two daughters, Ryan and Thelma, Rebecca, Kevin, Brandon, all of American Fork; Tad, Sean and Anne Marie, all of Salt Lake; Shanon and Todd Kreuger, San Gabriel, Calif; a brother, Van Deems Davies, Colorado; and a sister, Lani Birenbaum, Oregon.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 11 a.m. in the American Fork 13th Ward, 975 North 60 East. Friends may call at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Friday 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial in American Fork Cemetery with Military Rites by VFW, District 4.
