Artist Edward Gorey has created the poster that accompanies this year's CARE World Hunger Campaign.

Contributors who support the World Hunger Crusade with a gift of $100 or more will receive a copy of Gorey's limited edition poster - the image on the delicately colored poster shows a couple of children sitting on top of a cube version of the word CARE.CARE says that the purpose of the nationwide campaign, which runs through December, is to raise funds and increase public awareness about hunger and poverty that kill 13 million children every year worldwide. Last year's campaign raised about $3 million.

Gorey has built a reputation with his distinctive style as illustrator and set designer - he's known especially for the exquisitely weird drawings he produces for his books and for the logos he makes for the television series "Mystery!"
