Nicky Wangsgard scored 16 points and made the game-winning basket with less than a minute to play to lead Weber State to a 61-59 victory over Utah in a women's basketball game Thursday night at the Huntsman Center. It was the first time coach Carla Taylor's team had won at the Huntsman Center.

Weber had a 12-point lead at halftime, 37-25, and just was able to hold off Utah's second-half rally. Led by Amber McEwen and Julie Krommenhoek, who both had 14 points, the Utes closed to a 59-59 tie before Wangsgard sunk her game-winner. Wangsgard had four 3-point baskets for the game.Ranae Friend added 11 points and 10 rebounds and Mika Brown 10 points and 9 rebounds for Weber State, which improved its record to 6-2. Utah fell to 6-4.
