The City and County Building placed in Entries, and Temple Square won in the category of Most Inviting and Best of Show."The effort that these businesses and many others make each year to brighten the central business district by decorating the exterior of their buildings adds to the overall appeal of downtown Salt Lake City and is a prime example why more people visit downtown during December than any other time of the year," said Brad Parkin, marketing/program manager for the alliance.
The alliance is an economic improvement association that works to create a strong business climate, a positive image and quality environment in the central business district. Alliance members are businesses and property owners within a 30-block area in downtown Salt Lake City.
