Van Ess Wright passed away Dec. 22, 1994.

Born to Charles E. Wright and Bertha Wayman July 29, 1922 in Holladay, Utah. Married Betty Margaret Larsen, February 3, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. She passed away September 1989. Married LaRue Kingston, later divorced, but remained special friends. Served Northern California LDS Mission. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Retired custodial foreman, Olympus Stake. Dad was meticulous, enjoyed cultivating his garden and performing service to others.Survived by four children, Stephen (Yvonne) Wright, Barbara (Scott) Petersen, Dennis (Michelle) Wright, and Bryan (Laura) Wright; 14 grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. June (Jack) Dexter, Mrs. Nina (Thomas) Duke; brother, James D. Wright. Preceded in death by parents, spouse, sisters, Delilah Houck, Virginia Smith, brothers, Theo Wright, Leo Wright.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 11 a.m., at Olympus 3rd Ward, 4100 Camille Dr. (2480 East). Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Cottonwood Mortuary (4670 Highland Drive) and Tuesday at the ward 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment: Holladay Cemetery.
