Agnes Austin Trump Dukes, age 100, died Dec. 22, 1994, in Vernal.

She was born June 18, 1894, in Salt Lake City, to Charles James and Agnes Ann Austin Trump. She married Richard Cooke Dykes on April 17, 1914, in Salt Lake City.Marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Richard died on November 21, 1965.

Agnes was raised in Salt Lake City, and had lived in Omaha, Nebraska, Denver, Colorado, and Los Angeles, Calif. before moving to Vernal. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and had served in the Primary and Relief Society. She loved sewing and was an expert quilter Agnes celebrated her 100th Birthday on June 18, 1994, at the Golden Age Center in Vernal.

Agnes is survived by: Her two children, Virginia (Joseph) Winder, of Vernal; and C. Richard (Bette) Dykes, of Omaha; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by a daughter and a grandson.

Funeral Tuesday, 10 a.m., at the Hullinger-Jolley Funeral Home, 224 East 500 South, Vernal. Friends may call Tuesday, 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home and at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, in Salt Lake City from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. under the direction of the Hullinger-Jolley Funeral Home.
