Cleo Allen Henrie, 73, of Panguitch, Utah died December 24, 1994, at the home of her son in Provo, Utah.

She was born November 3, 1921, in Panguitch to Earl and Beulah Crosby Allen. She married Konroy Henrie September 21, 1944, in the St. George LDS Temple. He preceded her in death November 3, 1993.Cleo grew up in Panguitch helping her mother with nursing chores. After graduating from high school she attended the U of U and graduated with a degree in nursing. She worked for over 35 years as a nurse serving the people of Panguitch and surrounding communities. She quit only to take care of her aging parents. She was an "old-fashioned" nurse who served out of loyalty and dedication.

She was active in the LDS Church, serving in many callings, including Young Womens, Primary, and Relief Society presidencies.

Cleo was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved life. In spite of being ill for the past four years, she has been pleasant, easy to care for, and a joy to be around. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include: Children, Jeddie Bryan and Judy Henrie, Provo; Allen K and Jeannie Henrie, Panguitch; Ada Marie and Charles Barney, Kanab; Cleola and Charles Bess, Ivins; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers and one sister, Sam Allen, Panguitch; Clem Allen (twin), Provo; George Allen, Phoenix, Arizona; Rowa Lee, Panaca, Nevada; Whorten Allen, Logan; she is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 1994, at 1 p.m. in the Panguitch 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 174 North 400 East, Panguitch, where friends may call on Tuesday, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary of Richfield, Utah.
