Sarah Pugh Gordon Vernon, age 83, died December 23, 1994 at her home in Salt Lake City.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.Born September 26, 1911 in Pleasant Grove, Utah, to John and Sarah Baker Pugh. Married William D. Gordon in 1928. They later divorced. Married Virgel B. Vernon July 5, 1947.
Surviving are her husband, Virgel Vernon of Salt Lake City; one sister, Alice Gordon Bash, and the following children, Sarah Nadyne (Frank) Karman, William H. (Rosemary) Gordon, and John M. (Brenda) Gordon. Also by 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by a daughter, Elsie Adelle Raddon; wife of Thomas Milton Raddon.
Services to be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 1994, at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive. Friends may call from 11:30 to service time Tuesday.
