Utah has awarded a contract to Lockheed Information Management Services to locate absent parents and collect delinquent child-support payments.

This is the latest in a nationwide series of public-private partnerships between Lockheed and government agencies to collect child support.Under the contract, Lockheed IMS will use its national collection system and other databases to locate absent parents, contact them by phone or letter and arrange for payment of court-ordered support.

The company has 23 contracts with human services agencies in the United States.
