Jerry Lee Lewis is fired up to pay back the IRS.

The piano-pounding rock 'n' roller is starting work on an album, which, along with a concert tour, should help him pay the $3.75 million he owes in back taxes."I'll be doing what I do. Something new, brand new music," Lewis said Monday in his hometown of Ferriday, La.

It will be the first album in 12 years for the 58-year-old rocker known for such hits as "Great Balls of Fire" and "Whole Lot of Shakin' Goin' On."

Lewis was acquitted in 1984 of tax evasion, but a federal court refused to absolve him of his tax debts when he filed for bankruptcy protection in 1988. IRS agents have seized cars, furniture and other property over the years.
