Gwen Torrence delighted her home crowd, winning the 200 with her second American record in two days, 22.74 seconds, then the 60-meter dash in 7.10, the first women's sprint double in the national championships in 25 years.Joyner-Kersee was discharged from Crawford Long Hospital after X-rays.
Kenya's Moses Kiptanui set a meet record of 7:42.81 in the 3,000 meters. Chris Nelloms won the 200 in 20.57, and anchored Ohio State to a meet-record 3:07.97 victory in the 1,600-meter relay.
Jamaica's Michelle Freeman won the hurdles title in 7.98 and Ireland's Marcus O'Sullivan clinched the men's overall Grand Prix title, finishing second to Kenya's Moses Tanui in 1,500 meters.
