A fight between two Florida linebackers left one of them hospitalized with a facial cut and both players suspended - and possibly dismissed - from the Gators program.

Reserve Anthony Riggins was listed in stable condition Sunday at Tulane University Medical Center where he was taken after scuffling with teammate Darren Hambrick during Florida's New Year's Eve team dinner.Coach Steve Spurrier, who suspended each player and raised the possibility that they may not play for him again, said no weapons were involved in the incident.

"There was a table and dinnerware," the coach said, declining to provide additional details with the exception of adding there previously had been problems between the players.

"It was a nasty scene. I'm not proud it happened, but it happened. Both players have been suspended," said Spurrier, whose fifth-ranked Gators face No. 7 Florida State in tonight's Sugar Bowl.

"Both players in all likelihood will not play for us again. We're not going to tolerate players fighting. I'm not getting into whose fault it is, but hopefully this will never happen again on one of our teams."
