James Howard Dutro, 54, returned to the arms of his Heavenly Father October 29, 1995, due to severe injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Born on January 21, 1941, to Elmer Raymond Dutro and Winifred Lillian Cropsey, in Pasadena, California. Served in the Navy for four years.Married on November 4, 1962, to Annette Marie LaBrie. They discovered the fullness of the gospel, were baptized, and on March 2, 1972, Jim and Annette were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Jim loved helping others. He and Annette have been devoted parents to Tammi, Ron, and Mike. They were also foster parents for many of us. Always a friend, Jim would come to the rescue, even when a car broke down in the middle of a winter night. Sharing, helping, and even solving complex engineering problems were some of Jim's favorite activities.

With computer tools, including some he developed, Jim eagerly helped his ancestors by diligently doing family history. Jim's love and sensitivity for others was unique, he faced and overcame many of life's most difficult obstacles. He set an example worthy for all to follow.
