Two people were killed Tuesday in an incident at PacifiCorp's Dave Johnston Power Plant described as both an explosion and a steam leak.
Officials at the power plant, 20 miles east of Casper, said the incident at 9:53 a.m. Tuesday occurred in one of the coal-fired power plant's four coal-burning units.Plant manager Joe Goodrich described the incident as a steam leak, while the plant's safety manager said an explosion had occurred.
Leslie Blythe, in charge of media relations for PacifiCorp's Casper office, said in addition to the two employees who were killed, a third was seriously burned.
