Marva Weaver Nelson, age 71, died December 5, 1995.
Born in Sterling, Colorado on April 13, 1924. Marva was the definition of unconditional love. Always there, rarely complaining and forever giving. She will be greatly missed, her incredible strength was an inspiration to us all.We all love her deeply and hope she is serene in her final resting place. Her sweet spirit is finally free of her earthly body.
She attended the U of U, met William Richard Nelson, married July 2, 1947 divorced 1976.
Never remarried leaving seven children - Nancy Sarco, Harrisonburg, VA.; Tina Hair, Salt Lake; Camille Strasters, Salt Lake; Carlton Nelson, Baltimore, MD.; Claire Nelson, Salt Lake; Sarah Stokke-Johnson, Olso, Norway; Stuart Nelson, CA.; also grandchildren; Danny, Alexa, Josuha, Chris, Becky, Ricky, Derek, James, Adam, Haaken, Steiner, Espen, Veronica, and Gina; a brother, Dr. Dean Weaver and sister, Eva Weaver. Preceded in death by parents, George St. Clair Weaver, Vera Hedrick Weaver and grandchildren, Alexander Strasters, Justin Sarco and Josuha Jones; brother, St. Clair Weaver; sister, Elizabeth Goodman.
The family wants to extend thanks to the staff at L.D.S. Hospital, Hillhaven Rehabilation Downtown and friends and neighbors during Marva's illness.
Funeral Services will be Friday, December 8th at 1:00 p.m. at the Olympus 5th Ward, 3070 East Nila Way (4140 South). Friends may call the hour prior at the ward on Friday. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
