Rodman, 3 others fined

NEW YORK - San Antonio's Dennis Rodman, Jack Haley and Avery Johnson and Denver's Greg Grant were fined by the NBA for their actions in the Spurs' playoff victory Sunday night.

Rodman was fined $7,500 for throwing Dikembe Mutombo to the floor, Haley $7,500 for elbowing Grant in the head and Grant $5,000 for shoving Johnson into the basket stanchion. Johnson, who threw the ball into Grant's face, was fined $2,500 for retaliating.

St. Jean signs new pact

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento Kings coach Garry St. Jean, 39-43 this season and 92-154 in three seasons, signed a three-year contract.

Sun Kings win CBA crown

YAKIMA, Wash. - Rookie Aaron Swinson scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Yakima Sun Kings beat the Pittsburgh Piranhas 94-92 to win the Continental Basketball Association championship Monday night.

Yakima's Reggie Jordan blocked Jaren Jackson's shot jump shot with five seconds remaining, and Eldridge Recasner recovered the loose ball as time ran out.

Swinson, the CBA's top draft choice last summer out of Auburn, was named the Most Valuable Player in the series, which Yakima won four games to two.
