Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Mary Ouzounian Bezdjian, age 77, of Salt Lake City, died May 20, 1995 in a local hospital.
Born on April 17, 1918 in Aintab, Turkey to Khoren and Eliza Tabakian Ouzounian. Married Sarkis G. Bezdjian on November 15, 1937 in Aleppo, Syria, marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Came to America on November 1, 1962. Life long member of the LDS Church.Survived by her husband of Salt Lake City; children Hermine Boyadjian and husband Nazareth, San Rafael, California; Garbis Bezdjian and wife Maida, Hillsborough, California; Joseph Bezdjian and wife Araxie, San Mateo, California; Zaven Bezdjian and wife Ruthann, Salt Lake City; Roberto Bezdjian and wife Melissa, New York, New York; Asdghig Shahinian and husband Albert, Salt Lake City; Hrair Bezdjian and wife Berjouhie, Salt Lake City; Madeleine
Shahinian and husband Arshag, Downey, California; Louise Bezdjian, Salt Lake City; Raffie Bezdjian and wife Lindy, Salt Lake City; Berdje Bezdjian and wife Ann, Salt Lake City and Hilda Harding, Englewood, Colorado; 22 grandchildren; brothers and sisters Albert Ouzounian; Rosa Deirmendjian; Moses Ouzounian; Ephronia Woodbury; Hagop Ouzounian and Vasken Ouzounian. Preceded in death by a son Daniel, grandson Vahe Shahinian and a sister Adeline Butler.
Our wonderful mother was so instrumental in seeing that we were provided for and eventually brought us to the United States.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 12 Noon, May 23, 1995 in the East Millcreek Stake Center, 3103 East Craig Drive (3600 South). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Monday from 6-8 p.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
