Ladies Night at Deseret Book on the Saturday night during General Conference is now a local tradition.
This year some 15 stores along the Wasatch Front will be participating. The evening features discounts on selected books and tapes, entertainment and refreshments. Listing all the participants and times isn't possible, but here are few highlights to watch for:Deseret Book in the ZMCI Mall: Noon to 1:30 p.m. will feature Richard Oman, Robert Davis, Lloyd Newell and Kurt Bestor. From 4-5:30 the store will welcome Sen. Orrin Hatch, John Telford and William B. Smart among others. Poet Emma Lou Thayne, naturalist Dian Thomas and children's writer Barry Ellsworth will be in the store from 6-8 p.m.
Fort Union store: Singer Bryce Neubert from 4-5:30 p.m. and author Stacy Bess from 7-9 p.m.
Cottonwood store: Author Anne Osborn Poelman from 4-5:30 p.m. From 6-8 p.m. Rulon Burton will be on hand.
American Fork store: Singer Felicia Sorensen will be on hand from 6-8 p.m.
University Mall store: Dean Hughes will sign books from 4-5:30 p.m., Janice Kapp Perry will greet patrons from 6:30-9 p.m.
