Marion Bernice Larson Beckstead, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, returned to her Father in Heaven January 4, 1996.

Born April 4, 1912 to Mary Louise Goffe and Joseph G. Larson. Married Frank L. Beckstead in Salt Lake LDS Temple, later divorced. Marion withstood extreme hardships with incredible strength. Dedicated to her family. Accomplished pianist, swimmer, diver, traveler. Her excellent crocheting of afghans, animals and tablecloths were enjoyed by her family. Employed by AT&T as an operator at Camp Kearns during World War II also worked for S. L. County Assessor, Lovinger Disinfectant, Morton Salt and Civil Service.Survived by Paul L. (Elaine) Beckstead, Judith D. (Robert D.) Maack; grandchildren, Linda D. (Duane G.) Smith, Kevin D. (Virginia) Tolton, M.D.; Kelly Tolton, Christopher M. Maack, Janet, Laura, Robert, and Scott Beckstead; great-grandchildren, Desiree Nicole Smith, Zachary and Matthew Tolton; sisters, Ethel Salin, Madera, Calif., Helen Nicholson, Salt Lake City; brother Sterling Larson, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 1996 at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Mem. Park.
