A special exhibit of Marie Osmond dolls is the feature attraction for October at the McCurdy Historical Doll Museum, 246 N. 100 East.

More than five years ago Osmond was invited by the Knickerbocker Doll Co. to sponsor a line of dolls. She would only accept the assignment if she could be personally involved in designing and producing them. Her ideas and designs have been developed by Knickerbocker and turned into a popular line of dolls. The dolls are hand-crafted with special attention to detail and are specially signed by Osmond. They come in numbered editions. Several of the dolls on display come from Osmond's private collection.

Osmond will be at the museum at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, to talk about her dolls and autograph them. Her program will be followed by a tea party in the Secret Garden. Reservations are required by calling 377-9935, Tuesday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and children over 8. Children under 8 will not be allowed to attend this event.
