Eight new mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency. The mission presidents and their wives will begin their service about July 1. Their assignments will be announced later. The new mission presidents are:

- Don L. Christensen, 65, Sunrise Villa Ward, Las Vegas Nevada Paradise Stake; ward mission leader; former regional representative, stake president, high councilor, stake and ward Young Men president, district president's counselor, bishop and counselor, branch president, and elders quorum president; retired medical doctor; received bachelor's and doctor of medicine degrees from the University of Utah; born in Salina, Utah, to Paul DeLloyd and Gladys Nicholena Christensen; married Lora Dee Nelson, six children. She is a Young Women adviser; former member of stake Relief Society board, Young Women president and adviser, Relief Society and Primary president; received registered nursing degree from St. Mark's Nursing School; born in Salina, Utah, to Elmer and Margaret Jensen Nelson.- Victor Hugo Gamero, 48, Vallecito Branch, Arequipa Peru Central Stake; branch president's counselor; former regional representative, stake president, mission president's counselor, district president, and missionary in the Bolivia Mission; general manager of Embotelladora Caplina S.A.; received diploma in financial negotiations from Universidad de Tarapaca; born in Arequipa, Peru, to Manuel and Aguedita Cornejo Gamero; married Angela Nunez, five children. She is Relief Society president; former Young Women president, Relief Society president and counselor, and seminary and institute teacher; studied art at Escuela Carlos Bacaflor; born in Miraflores, Peru, to Alejandro and Nelly Yukimura Nunez.

- Hector D. Huerta G., 63, Zarahemla 6th Ward, Mexico City Mexico Zarahemla Stake; patriarch; former stake president's counselor, district president, bishop, branch president, and missionary in the Mexican Mission; self employed; born in Puebla, Mexico, to Lomas Gilberto and Flores Alicia Galicia Huerta; married Norma Herrera M., seven children. She is a visiting teaching coordinator; former Relief Society president and counselor, Primary president, and Relief Society teacher; born in Orizaba, Mexico, to Pacheco Miguel and Laborda Josefina Manzano Herrera.

- Tagg B. Hundrup, 61, Holladay 27th Ward, Salt Lake Holladay South Stake; high priests group leader's assistant; former stake mission president, bishop's counselor, high priests group leader, seventies president, Sunday School teacher, missionary in the Danish Mission, and served with his wife as missionary in India; education specialist in Utah State Office of Education; received MBA degree and doctorate in educational administration from the University of Utah and graduated from the Army War College; born in Aalborg, Denmark, to Fred H and Bodil H Sorensen Hundrup; married Maria Kristensen, one child. She is a Relief Society president's counselor; former temple worker, Relief Society president and teacher, Primary teacher, teacher trainer, missionary in the Danish Mission, and served with her husband as missionary in India; received MBA degree and doctorate in administration of higher education from the University of Utah; born in Hjorring, Denmark, to Peter Kristian and Sara Konnerup Kristensen.

She is stake Young Women president; former stake Relief Society president's counselor, Relief Society and Young Women president, seminary and institute teacher, and temple worker; born in Mexico City to Manuel Palacios G. and Maria Conzzoni P. de Palacios.

Craig Potter, 50, Alief Ward, Houston Texas South Stake; stake missionary and temple excursion ordinance worker; former stake president's counselor, high councilor, bishop, ward mission leader and seventies president, seminary teacher, teacher's quorum adviser, and missionary in the Spanish American Mission; certified public accountant; received bachelor's degree in accounting from BYU; born in Wilmington, N.C., to B. Melvin and Clyde Elizabeth Malphrus Watson Potter; married Reva Wright, four children. She is an early morning seminary teacher and temple excursion ordinance worker; former stake Relief Society president and counselor, stake missionary, Relief Society president and counselor, Young Women president, Cub Scout den leader, Primary and Relief Society teacher; received bachelor's degree in microbiology from BYU; born in Cardston, Alberta, to Robert John and Leatha Coleman Wright.

- Keith L.
