Keith E. Sohm, 72, died April 11, 1996, in Salt Lake City.

Born in Burley, Idaho, July 26, 1923, to Samuel LeRoy Sohm and Zella Vivian Wells. Married Ver Jean Holyoak June 16, 1949, in the Salt Lake Temple. Obtained his law degree from the University of Utah. He exemplified the Savior as he devoted his life to serving others. His muscles never tired of hard work in service to his wife, children, grandchildren.He flew as a navigator in the Army Air Corps and served an LDS mission in the Northwestern States. He was well loved as a Bishop of the Valley View 8th Ward.

Keith loved adventure. When he was not leading explorer scouts in canoeing the Snake River or climbing the Tetons, he was teaching others to ski or waterski. He loved to work. He built his house on Lincoln Lane, largely with his own hands.

He recently served the Lord for two years with his favorite companion, Jeannie, in New Zealand and the Cook Islands. Known lovingly by his family as "The Fearless One," he never hesitated to share the gospel equally with friends and strangers and blessed the lives of countless individuals.

Survived by his wife, Ver Jean, children, Sheri Sohm, Dallan Sohm, Dana Sohm, Shayla Shepherd, Shannon Kramer, Sharlene Elmer, 17 grandchildren, brother, Rex Sohm, and sisters, Elaine Moffat and Rozell Henry.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 15, at 11 a.m. at the Valley View 8th Ward (4032 South 2300 East). Friends may call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary (3401 South Highland Drive) on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward Monday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment,Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
