Our beloved Tattered Angel Charity returned to her heavenly home on June 26, 1996.

Born August 30, 1988, Charity came with less than almost any other mortal. Yet her desire was to serve, and so within hours she began giving of her heart, her very soul, to all who came near. With her bright and dancing eyes, her smile that lit the darkest of rooms and days, her serenity-filled spirit, and her body-shaking chuckle that acknowledged a joy that never for a moment diminished, she faced life squarely. Without every speaking a word, she taught of faith, of hope, of compassion, of courage, of patience and especially of love. And when we and others despaired of her life because it did not seem possible for her to endure or continue, she merely smiled-and did.Yet not alone did she travel, for there are many who have served her along the way-kind and tender-hearted individuals who have given of themselves to her when it was neither easy nor convenient. These-doctors, nurses, therapists, family, friends, neighbors, and especially the children who loved to drop in and visit-all these have earned our eternal gratitude, and we know that Charity will bless their names forever.

And so now she has finished the course God set for her, and with lightened heart has gone ahead, to be encircled about eternally in the arms of Christ's love.

Charity, each of us knows that we will see you again soon. And though you will be perfected and given all that you have lacked and more, you will never be more precious or dear than you have been while angelically gracing our earthly home.

Charity is survived by her parents, Blaine M. and Kathy W. Yorgason; grandparents, Gayle and Lucy Yorgason, and Afton Wagstaff; adoring brothers and sisters, Tami and David Bestenlehner, Nathan and Rachel, Steven and Teresa, Travis, Dan and Rebecca, and Michelle and Trent Nelson; and seven nieces and nephews, Lindsay, Taylor, Jessa, Mitchell, Hailey, Halli and Jacob.
